Jerry Drenis, co-founder and President, is responsible for all aspects of Marathon’s operations and strategy. Since co-founding Marathon, he has accumulated substantial knowledge of commodities markets and deep ties to the NY business community. Mr. Drenis is also President of MEGA Building Management Corp., a family-owned building management company that manages his family’s real estate interests in New York. Jerry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Associate degree in Applied Science.



Bobby Beys, co-founder and Executive Vice President. Bobby focuses his efforts on the existing oil business, allowing Jerry to focus on expanding Marathon’s products and services into broader energy segments. He has extensive knowledge and experience with heating oil and refinery operations. Previously a service manager for a New York heating oil competitor, Bobby began his career at Petrola Hellas, SA in Greece.



Archie Bibawy, Vice President – Electricity Supply. Archie brings 8 years of deregulated energy experience to Marathon including appointments in operations, supply, and pricing. Archie possesses a deep background in database development and analytics and in ISO operations. He has a B.S. in Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems.



Chris Skulikidis, Vice President of Operations. Chris has over 15 years of business leadership experience and is responsible for overseeing the operations and regulatory compliance of Marathon Energy. Prior to this position, Chris managed Marathon’s accounting and financial reporting functions. Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and an MBA in Finance.



Chrisoula Vlachou-Drenis, General Manager. Chrisoula is responsible for managing all aspects of Marathon’s daily operations and is a critical component of the company’s infrastructure. As the general manager, she supervises all office and administrative operations. Chrisoula is a primary contributor to Marathon’s great success since the company was founded in 1995 and adds tremendous value to the management team. She has over 15 years of experience in the energy services sector, including systems management, customer relationship management, and strong control procedures.



Gus Sfakianos, Vice President of Mechanical Services. Gus leads the management and execution of all day-to-day mechanical operations and offers the technical knowledge and guidance required for customer heating systems management including boiler installation and commissioning, boiler replacement and upgrades, oil to gas conversions, and service programs. He has 16 years of hands-on and executive experience within the renewable and alternative energy industry, and multiple issued patents. Gus has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).



Jeff Grygier, Chief Financial Officer. Jeff leads the day-to-day operations of Marathon Energy. He has 25 years financial, strategy, and operational management experience, including building two companies from start-up stage to hundreds of millions of dollars of annual revenues, launching businesses in both US and international markets in wireless and high tech industries. Jeff is a CPA and has a Bachelor of Science in Finance.



Jeremy Edwards, Vice President – Natural Gas. Jeremy’s background includes almost 15 years at Hess in deregulated natural gas management, trading, regulatory, and pricing. He has significant expertise in building and managing natural gas supply, scheduling, trading, and marketing operations across multiple US regions. Jeremy has a B.S. in Business Administration.



Jimmy Moutafis, Vice President of Sales. Jimmy is one of the leaders of Marathon’s sales team. With almost 10 years energy sales experience, Jimmy has been enabling customers to meet or exceed their comprehensive energy program goals by providing pricing options that best fit customers’ needs and with high quality, ethical, professional service. Jimmy has over 20 years sales experience and a BBA in Finance.



Mark Kessler, Vice President, Business Development. Mark leads Marathon’s value added products and services as well as strategy development, including energy efficiency and sustainable initiatives, renewables, storage, and utility bill management. Mark brings over 20 years of deep energy industry experience developing and marketing comprehensive energy management programs to commercial and industrial customers, including over 10 years with Constellation Energy (an Exelon Company). Mark has a BA in Business Administration and Finance and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).



Michael Stolper, General Counsel. Michael provides guidance on general business and legal issues. He is an Ivy League educated attorney who also serves as General Counsel of a large real estate development, construction and property management firm in New York City, and is a former partner of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP.



Scott Burns, Vice President – Sales and Business Development Scott has 7 years experience in Hess Small Business Solutions Group including rotations through gas and electricity supply, pricing and indirect sales. Scott played an integral role in the growth of HSBS indirect channel driving a 6x increase in customer accounts over the past 5 years.



Shahjehan Sajid, Vice President of Sales. Shahjehan’s primary responsibility is building and maintaining sales and controlling churn in Marathon’s natural gas and electricity markets. With almost 15 years of combined experience in deregulated energy sales and marketing, Shahjehan played an integral role in the success of Marathon’s initial natural gas and electricity launch. He is one of Marathon’s key sales executives and leads ongoing sales and marketing strategy development and execution; and staffing, training, and quota management of Marathon’s deregulated sales team. Fluent in 5 languages, his extensive background also includes management of a family textile business and marketing and selling of high end properties in his native Dubai. Shahjehan has an MBA in International Marketing.
